When you see the i-169 Shinohara Maru, she is “my” Silent Warrior, I watched in 1973 as her hatches were welded closed, now I’m told the Ocean has opened other huge holes in her after 50 years.
Wreck penetration is possible on the I-169.

I have done both, liveaboard and land based. Both have their pluses and minuses but also both are great. Most of the dive sites are very close to the land based operations and hence one can argue that land based can do everything a liveaboard can do. On the other hand, liveaboards stay in one sport and ferry their divers on their dingies to the various dive sites and hence one can argue that a land based operation is just the same and less expensive.

FSM has been closed for what seems like forever.. I'm booked on the Odyssey next year, but am starting to wonder if it's going to be around by then. The Blue Lagoon website seems to be down. Are they still in business?
This is accurate as far as I know. August reopening is what I have been told is planned, but who knows..At the moment, I believe they are still closed to tourism. Have not lifted the Covid restrictions yet. I want to say the first of August is when they open. So I can believe the website is down until they are actually open.
Good question, Internet is a vey iffy thing there and FSM locked down tight for Covid, no idea of the conditions for travel now days. The Blue Lagoon website seems to be down. Are they still in business?
