No shame in calling a dive for tooth complications... a reverse dental squeeze would suck big time. Hope you get that straightened out Chris.

Boy do I evert thank you all for your support. Those are good dive buddies. I'll meet up with eastcoast diver soon I'm sure. The eastcoast is just too smal for the 2 of us :) lol.

Thanks Guys

P.S.

I still believe that I know the guy from someplace. I have a feeling we've met before.

Ive had a couple of root canals and dove the same day. As far as safety, your just plan silly to think that its a safety problem. I bet this guy Chris didnt dive with you guys for some other reason. As far as calling him a wimp, that was a joke. Ive never tried to push some one to dive that didnt feal like diving.

It was a safety issue. You do not have the whole story.

The main reason he gave for cancelling the dive was the medication he was on, not the tooth itself. Diving while under the effects of a perscription pain medication is a bad idea.

I don't want my dive buddy to be under the influence of anything but nitrogen.

Furthermore, the root canal was not complete. He had an air space in his tooth that still needed to be filled, so a dental squeeze was a valid concern.

All that aside, no one should ever question a diver's call not to dive. "I don't feel like it" is every bit as valid a reason as "I have a bad ear infection". Chris doesn't need anyone's approval to make that call.

I am glad you do not try and force a person to dive if they are not comfortable, but you should not ridicule them for that decision either.

But that lobster was huge. As I turned away it grabbed my fin with its giant claws and tried to pull into its cave. If it wasnt for my brave dive buddy Bill who grabed my hand and pulled me away while also grabbing the lobsters testicles, I would have been lobster meat.

Hey Chris i see you made a new friend. Glad to hear your feeling better this week. I see you tomorow Chris.

Ok guys. When you see a personal attack from someone, please report it instead of replying to it. It makes it much easier for us to clean up the mess.
