I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I'm sure you guys know the issues. I just got my tooth solidified yesterday and am back in action.

How about a dive report on the dives this weekend. I'm really eager to know how everything went.

Take care

Glad to hear they fixed the tooth (though I am afraid to ask which one....)

We only did one dive at Bass Rock Rd. We headed south instead of going north along the rocks like most people usually do because there were a ton of fisherman. That worked out pretty well. It is relatively shallow (15-20 ft), with a nice sandy bottom covered with big boulders. Vis was good (15+ ft) and the water really warmed up since last week too. Temp at the bottom was up to 68 F. I even ditched my hood. Saw some lobsters, flounder, fluke, skates and tautog.

It was getting pretty late in the afternoon after that and Bruce didn't want to get home too late so we didn't do any more dives.

dive was good. glad i did just one dive left bass rock around 3:00 to 3:30 got home around 6:30 traffic was a disaster bumper to bumper from just pass stonington to exit for rt 9 off 95 S looks like the ocean may be a littel rough this weekend. i might have to do bashen lake or westhiil pond this weekend.

I wish I could have gone with you guys, however I was having a problem with my ears (and no I'm not a wimp).

ScubaSarus: how's your tooth doing?

This seems to have cleared up now but I am going to NH all next week. When I get back maybe we could get together again and explore a new site or something? I'll post again when I get back.

The dentist finally built up the tooth to fill the airspace. I will be getting the root canal done on the proper tooth thursday and hope they can fill the airspace left for the post. I'm ready to go right now and dove Stonington yesterday with good vis. I am supposed to be getting the canal and crown done with no copay.

Nice hearing from ya Matt

Take it easy guy

After some careful consideration I decided not to buy my tanks just yet. I decided that a drysuit (DUI clx450) was next on the list :)

If I do end up getting the suit that I want, tanks might be a purchase for next year. Thanks a lot for getting that info for me though.

Hey Matt,
Sorry you couldn't make it (at least your ear problem happened in RI instead of HI this time, that is a little easier to live with...)

I'd definitely be up for another bunch of dives when you get back from NH.

Wimp? Hmm... funny I would rather have dive buddies who excercise good judgment about when they should or should not be diving! I would rather have a safe buddy than one who always dives no matter what.
That's good to know. I was actually just poking fun at the comment made by 'eastcoastdiver' regarding ScubaSarus' tooth problem.

Hope to see everyone when I get back, but now it's time to get the heck out of here (work that is).

I am dry suit shopping myself... good to know you might be able to join me for some diving this winter! ;)
