Single piece of webbing, but I'm a radical, I have red webbing on my SS plate and blue webbing on my alum plate.....my other SS plate has "H" webbing. No one ever confuses my rig for theirs!

See what tech diving does, you start with one....then they reproduce!

there may be an advantage to having a single quick-release on one shoulder strap
Not trying to be rude but you don’t need a quick release. Your shoulder strap *should* be loose (if it’s tight, your trim will not be good and you won’t be as comfortable) enough to where you can get it off with drysuit and thick undergarments by yourself. First 50 or so dives with it will take a while to get in probably. If you think you need the quick release, two reasons I can personally see, could be wrong: a you simply aren’t used to getting in/ out of it and b you have an injury which limits your shoulder mobility.
If it’s a, go diving more. If it’s b, quick release time.

Again, no problems with having a quick release but it’s literally not needed unless it’s really needed. Does more harm than good in the water.
