I have an Olympus TG5 camera. So far I've been using it without a light source and getting good photos, but I would like to step up my game. I am looking at strobes and considering the Inon S2000 and a few others. Since I prefer to travel light, I am looking for a good, compact system.
I also would like to know if the brand of the accessories needed are important. I saw a package on Amazon with the Inon 2000 and all the arms, tray etc.
Dual Inon S2000 - Mounted on a Ocean Tray Arm Kit Light Set
for much less money than with Nauticam parts.

Any advice and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

1) enroll in your local; community college Photography classes
2) take basic course
3) after basic enroll in the following
a) lighting
b) composition

You will discover there are two light required for good photography
1) key light
2) fill light

Immediately purchase @MAKO Spearguns handle systems
It has accommodations for two lights. A Key and a fill

The INON strobes are good little units, you didn't provide a link but googling showed the item on Ebay for $US1265 (plus $60 post) which is not far off the price you would pay out of one of the speciality UW photo shops in the US (Bluewater, Reef , Backscatter etc) for two strobes and Ultralight/INON arm setup. For example:

Inon S-2000 S-TTL Strobe 2 $730.00

1 Inon Optical D Cable (43 cm/L Type) for Z-240, D-2000, S-2000 1 $85.95

1 ULCS TR-D Digital Tray 1 $39.95

1 ULCS TR-DUP Digital Double Tray Upgrade 1 $30.00

2 ULCS TR-DHB Padded Handle w/ Ball for Digital Tray 2 $99.90

6 ULCS AC-CS 1 Inch Clamp, Traditional Style (lighter weight) 6 $179.70

2 Inon Stick Arm (Choose Size) M 2 $69.90

2 Inon Stick Arm (Choose Size) S 2 $59.90

The above is from Reefphoto, total $1295 and I think free postage, but I'm sure any of the shops would develop something to match the Amazon item and you'd have local support for your gear if needed. A concern I would have is you don't know the quality of the arms/clamps in the package. Another option is a twin locline arm & tray setup which most of the shops have for around $180 or so .

I assume you have a housing, to allow you to install the fibre optic ports over the flash?
