I've been posting info on our meetups here, so I thought I'd post info on our recently created calendar of events. The events below are for Oct-Dec. For our full calendar, check out our Calendar of Events page.

Yep, October is almost over. Pity you - you missed the UW pumpkin carving, you missed the U-boat presentation... You have one more chance to have fun with the CSM this month!

Our first happy hour was such a phenomenal success that we will be continuing them throughout the year! Several Meetup groups will band together for pizza and fun at Al Dente Café in Chicago on the last Friday of each month. You are all invited!!!
November
To cheer the end-of-the-dive-season blues, November will be all about FUN FUN FUN!!! I've been told (although I admit to being more than a little skeptical) that Chicago offers a ton of entertainment above the Lake. We'll spend November testing this hypothesis at several venues around town.

Ever find yourself wondering, "What was that yellow-striped medium-sized fishy looking thing?" Well, here's your chance to figure it out! Shedd is offering a Fish ID class, taught by Janet K.
November 11, 2006: Diveheart Dinner Dance Luau

Time to party it up Diveheart style!!! The Diveheart Foundation is having a fundraiser and CSMers are invited! There will be a buffet dinner, a live band, a raffle, and a silent auction... What more could you ask for from an organization as fantastic as this?!?!?! Diveheart promotes diving as a therapeutic tool to disabled youth and adults. Come out to the fundraiser and have fun for a great cause!

Attention all underwater photographers: Rob D., assistant organizer of the Chicagoland Digital Photography Meetup Group, will be giving a presentation, "10 Tips to Improve Your Digital Photography". As always, there will be time aplenty for dinner, cocktails, and chatting.
