If you're looking for wrecks to dive in the Chicago area, get yourself a copy of Cris Kohl's Great Lakes Diving Guide (I think the his website is www.seawolfcommunications.com) and enjoy. The further north you go, the better condition the wrecks are in. Of course, they're in better condition because they're in deeper water and tougher dives, too.

Also, if you like roughing it, there is good ol' Divers Delight http://diversdelightcharter.com/ out of Milwaukee, Racine, Port Washington, and just about anywhere else they can trailer their boat too. They took me on what I believe is my favorite dive to date, the Northerner out of Port Washington.

It's in about 8-10 ft of water and pretty broken up.
