Which end of the Poling where you on? Gotta do some substantial bottom time to have deco on the stern

Nice one. I only went several minutes into deco, and that's more to do with my Cobra being a whiny ******. But I figure after 30 minutes on the wreck obeying the traffic laws isn't a bad thing, right?

Hey Peace.

We were out with the CAD small boat on Saturday, 8/20 AM -- Saturday Night Ledge for dive #1 and Poling for dive #2. No dogfish at SNL...saw about 3-4 dogfish on the Poling descent...none on ascent (although another diver reported a few).

Another charter (Daybreaker) was on the Poling just before us...perhaps scaring them away....

Sounds like you had quite the school...

Fog was moving quickly that morning. We descended SNL with no fog...we came up 33 minutes later completely socked in.

I was on the daybreaker, and I didn't see the dogfish on the Poling (although some others were on the sand and said they saw some). For dive #2, we saw tons at Paddock Rock. There weren't any nipping at my fins tho. Excellent day for diving -my first time on the Poling, and my first time seeing dogfish!

Reminds me why I don't like wearing brightly-highlighted gear.

Should I be concerned I bought the 'yummy yellow' fins?????? I think I might be doing that dive this w/end!
