…in other words with a twinset.

My normal config is sidemount, but I tried it today, with a twinset I bought expressly for that purpose. Thought it’d be great….24 litres of dilout on my back, sides largely unencumbered, save for deco bailouts that can just be dropped as appropriate, etc, etc.

Whilst it was ok, I just felt like a f**king tank, a graceless f**king tank.

Henceforth, the twins shall be used as a gas bank.

Oh well.

First time I’d had a twinset on my back since 2018 too.

I was actually surprised by how comfy it felt, aside from the dump valve almost being in my armpit (Evolve). I could even do a valve drill, though the left post was a bit of a battle (too much crash damage).

same. i've been resistant to sticking twinsets on my tiny spine. (5'5 130lbs). I still wanna try it sometime.

I let my daughter try this one, said she could have it if it worked for her.

She is 5’8” and very slim, and it absolutely swamped her.

She liked the improved feeling of lateral stability over her normal single, but was far too negative and found the leg-heavy trim quite uncomfortable. It’s also a bitch for someone of smaller stature to manage out of the water.

The cylinders are concave bottom Euros. She dives a trilam suit, Jet Fins, and was using my Evolve wing.
