Hi All...
A bunch of us are looking to do a "clean up" dive somewhere nearby as part of the dive against debris effort... But we're coming up a bit short on places that are not too distant from DC that have shore-entry. Turning to the chespeake bay experts and others on the board here for advice.
Looking for a spot that's:
-Drivable within a few hours from DC
-Safe for shore-diving, including for some less advanced divers so someplace away from boating channels and swift moving currents
-Accessible (i.e. 2 mile hikes to the water won't work so well)
Point is to try to collect a bunch of debris to both help clean the local area up and make the point about where waste ends up and how it makes its way to the ocean.
Ideas? Specific locations with directions really great!
Thanks all
_Matt
