Off the Wall Scuba has purchased a Dive Boat.
No charters are being planned for the remainder of 2009, however divers may sign up for a chance to do some "exploratory" bay dives in October and November. The diving will be free and space is not guaranteed.
Requirements include:
"Advanced Diver" rating or better with the following specialties:
*Night/Limited Visibility
*Wreck
*Search & Recovery
*Drift
If you qualify and are interested in doing some FREE exploratory diving you may email your Name & Phone Number to ken@offthewallscuba.com.
If space is available, you will be contacted about the opportunities.
Exploratory Dives in the Chesapeake Bay
We expect most dives to be fairly shallow (10' - 30') although some may reach depths of 60' - 100' depending upon location. Currents can be strong and visibility is generally less than 1' to no more than 10'. The days on the boat may include long periods of just riding around on the water until we find something interesting to look at.
The Boat
The "Retreiver" is a 31' Chris Craft Uniflite (Retired Police Boat) with Twin 454 Engines, a wide open deck with lots of room for gear and to move around. It has an enclosed head, a heated interior cabin for cold days and interior seating for six. Two people can comfortably lay down to rest. Full electronics including Radar, Sonar, GPS, Depth/Fish Finder and VHS radio.
Future Dive Sites for 2010
*Oyster Dives
*Calvert Cliffs Fossil & MEG tooth diving
*Black Panther Wreck
*Treasure Hunting at Hartmiller Island & Pleasure Island
*Other uncharted Wrecks and Sites we discover
Email your interest or call (443)-772-0595 to have your name put on the "Exploratory Dives" list.
Cheers!
