For Earth Day I scheduled a cleanup dive at a local sinkhole known for lots of trash, and also low vis. Unfortunately, this must have scared everyone off (and nearly myself) as only me and a buddy, plus an AOW class would be diving that day. Never the less, I managed to pull up quite a haul, including a mask and dog leash, and 50 or so cans and bottles. Plus I learned to bring a lift bag. Vis was indeed low, about 5-10ft, and temp dropped from 75 on the surface to 65 at the bottom. The bottom basically slopes from 40-70ft deep, and contains mud, trees, and of course beer cans, plus numerous other trash. The dive actually turned out to be pretty fun, although we barley made a dent, but did have a good time. Worth the dive just for the experience.
