We arrived on Saturday. Staying at the Reef Resort, diving with Ocean Frontiers. We are having a blast! Ocean conditions were rough when we arrived, a bit better on Sunday, and even better on Monday. The staff at Ocean Frontiers is terrific, professional, but still a lot of fun. We've done 6 dives so far. Today were are doing a 2 tank AM dive and the Kittiwake this afternoon. I hit dive # 300 yesterday, woo hoo! Here's a link to a couple of teaser pics.

Gotta go diving! :D

Sounds like a great trip so far. We've dived with OF many times and find them to be top-notch. The only drawback can be weather on the East End as you mentioned.

Thanks for the pics,
DS

glad to hear you're having a great trip! I was looking at going there with my family in February, but we just decided to try Little Cayman instead. Looking forward to hearing more about the Reef Resort and the diving off the east end of Grand Cayman!

My wife and I stayed at The Reef a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. First class treatment and very nice facility.

Same for Ocean Frontiers. Definitely top notch! Really enjoyed diving with them, and would return for more in a heartbeat. First class all the way.

Awesome.. we are heading down there in mid February. First time visiting the island. We will be staying off Seven mile beach. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Wish my wife and I were there with you. We stayed at the Reef Resort two years ago and I dove with OF everyday. We are talking about maybe going back this summer. I feel very happy for you. Enjoy!

Scubagal,

The Reef is EXCELLENT!! I'm a timeshare owner at Morritt's, but wish I owned at the Reef. I bought before the Reef was there. If you haven't already, check out the Barefoot Man on Tuesday and Thursdays.

The Lighthouse, Portifino's, The Edge, and Rum Point Yacht Club are excellent places to eat. Of course, the pool bar at either the Reef or Morritt's isn't bad either.

I have been diving with Ocean Frontiers since they opened in "96". Best dive op I have ever dove with!! Steve and Mo (the owners) used to ferry us out to the NautiCat in a dingy, because they didn't have a dock, and a wooden lean too for a dive shack. Look at them now!!

If you get a chance before you leave, tell TJ Staples at OF to kiss mine and Terry's butt. She's a good friend of ours. She certified Terry. Tell Steve and Mo we're still waiting on a frequent diver discount.

scubacat1,

We have been on the Nauticat every day. We have already eaten at the Lighthouse and Over the Edge. Portofino's is now Tuuka, we haven't made it over there yet. If TJ is there I will let her know you said hi.

Here's a picture of the view from our condo, heaven!
