60 Minutes just came on. There is going to be a piece with Cooper Anderson diving with some guy in S. Africa who dives and films Great Whites w/o a cage!

saw that last nite, have my dvr set, hoping to watch it sometimes tonite.....

I thought that was very well done. Thanks for the link Chris.

I like the way they had Anderson Cooper weighted... kerplonk!

If you missed it: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=6341606n&tag=contentMain;contentAux

Looked like a very simple free ascent "in the current that suddenly appeared".

But, yes- the guide, Mike Rutsen, had a different perspective on GWSharks.
Kinda' like Steve Irwin or Tim Treadwell. It's only a matter of time.

That was a great piece. I especially liked how he went in to detail talking about how to act to make the shark not mess with you, and how the majority of people out there have probably had some sort of shark encounter and just didn't know it.

My (non-diving) wife and I watched it and we both enjoyed the show. She asked me if I would like to do that dive and I said truthfully that I didn't think I would do it. I don't know how much experience Anderson has with scuba, but props to him for diving without a cage!

One of the basket ball games pushed it later. I don't have a DVR, but hopefully it is smart enough to know it was delayed. URL link above!

Me & Sunday nite CBS go back a long way(I always set it on my cable system for another hour on Sunday nites ie always dvr Amazing Race & Cold Case & saw the shark thingy coming on 60 Minutes--so tonite I'm covered from 6 to 11PM central time)...plus I get CBS east & west feeds on my other (satellite) tv system so I always record the west feed there(west is always 'on time')......
