Cheapest way to Bahamas?

Chalks runs a seaplane from Ft Lauderdale to Bimini, and Paradise island.

I have never done it, but I think it is pretty reasonable, and looks like a whole lot of fun.

Bimini is a smaller island, but has some great diving.

I think there are at least two dive ops on the island.

What kind of access to transportation is available from the port to the airport. Shuttle? Taxi? Bus?

We just traded a time share from Vegas to Freeport. When we did this, I asked to transfer to the travel department, and they were able to save me $50.00 off the lowest fare posted on AA.

Our last leg is from Miami to Freeport, on AA, and maybe your time share company also has a contract with AA for lower fares.

Doesn't hurt to check it out.
