Bought a new E-520 and housing at christmas and needed to get a financial breather before I could buy some new TTL strobes.

I have rigged up my old strobes by running an optical cable to the front of slave sensor in my old Sea n Sea 50 flash by gluing a shelf support with a small hole in the front of it to take the optical cable and then using a slave sensor on my other large Sea n Sea 200.

The light output is fantastic and using Phil Rudins advice on manual set up ie set the aperture control as the main wheel and the speed as minor control, then with auto flash turned off and flash output set to min - away we go.

Total cost $25.:crafty:

I think it will work well for wide angle stuff but maybe a bit too much light for macro.

Will test it all in a couple of weeks and post some photo's.

Scott I think you are right, the laughs and insults I will have to wear because I havent spent $1200 on a pair of fashion accessories - GN 22 TTL flashes.
