Charleston Shore Diving?

Is there any time of the year that shore diving in the General Charleston area could be considered an option?
No boat but love to get wet and bring home some dinner even if its smallish.
Maybe some where to get a few flounder?

well here in myrtle beach the water 100 yards out from shore is 5-10 feet vis. But all we got is sand...

Yeah I was booked this Sunday out of Myrtle but the operator cancelled. High seas I guess.
