Hey, what can I say, I'm excited! I'm a Channel Island newbie so can't give you any advice yet! Hope that the red tide is leaving, and isn't causing any vis problems in the Channel Islands next week.

Doing a 3 day trip in July with truthaquatics (www.truthaquatics.com) on the Truth. I highly recommend this outfit. They have 3 boats however, Conception, the twin of Truth was hijacked and damaged by a thief and is not scheduled back until September I think. Might want to verify its availability. You can check out its progress on their web site.
Question. Can you get away with a 5mil wetsuit iin the northern Channel Islands? I remember getting downright hot in a 7mil although it was in the fall.

Is your August trip towards the end of the month? They had some trouble with the boat (well, if you can call being stolen, sinking 3 other ships before being run aground itself "trouble" - see http://www.truthaquatics.com/conception_repair.html for more info) and aren't sure if it will be up in time for its August charters. It's looking good, but we've got a trip scheduled for the middle of the month (I think the 17th, or whatever that Thursday is) and it's still only tentative. I hope yours is towards the end of the month....mossym:

I love the peace, the crew is the best, but some may not like the boat as much, it's a little older, but the hot tub rocks after a cold dive.
the two new Truth boats the vision and conseption are a little nicer boats, bigger with nice showers in the front and a change area out of the wind but no hot tub.
but you need to check all of there schedules to see if you can find a spot that meets your schedule.

conception is due back on the water in August..should be good for your trip, i'm on one before you, so i'll let you know!!
