Hi all,
I am about to pack for a diving trip and found that my torch has been deep discharged and I cannot charge it anymore. I cannot recall when I have charged it last, so probably it is my fault that I did not cycle it every now and then.
Years ago, I had opened the torch and what I remember was that the batteries were NiCd and there were some circuits to warn when battery level was low to avoid deep discharge. Now the question is, can I unsolder and remove all the nicd batteries and replace with NiMh batteries? NiCd and NiMH should have same nominal voltage so I assume that this should not be a problem? Do you have any experience with this?
thanks in advance for suggestions
