When I was a kid, I used to like to play leapfrog. But in the context of Chamber Day, I LOVE to play leap-frog and am quite ecstatic to tell you that we've leaped our way to a new total of $14,015!!!

A significant portion of this gain comes from the Emmerman Family, longtime supporters of the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. Mike is well-known as a disaster preparedness expert and he, along with his wife Pat Stockhausen and their son TJ, understand how our Chamber helps to prepare us for a scuba disaster. By being there 24/7/365, our Chamber is ready to cope with any diving emergency. And the fact that Mike, Pat, and TJ have all lit candles (at $1000/candle) gives our Chamber that much more financial stability.

Also jumping into the fray are Jim & Nancy Krasne. Although Nancy doesn't dive (but she's currently the Mayor of Beverly Hills), Jim loves the sport and Nancy is happy to support him (and the Chamber) as well. Their $500 donation will be matched up with another $500 to light a full candle.

In the meantime, we'd love to hear from you. We're creeping up on the two-weeks-to-go mark and that means things tend to get a little dicey in terms of figuring out if we can make our pie-in-the-sky number for this year. but you can help either by going to the website (Welcome to Chamber Day 2009!) or by calling us at 310/652-4990 and giving whatever you can. So . . .

Who's next? Who will help get us past $15,000???
