CHAMBER CHALLENGE 2009 - UPDATE #2 - $5610 (posted 3/24/09 - last updated 3/18/09)

Time flies (whether you're having fun or not) and time is flying on us as we approach Chamber Day on Wednesday, May 6.

The Chamber Challenge serves a very important function in our overall fund-raising as it represents funds that are not only unrestricted, but also which come to us without any expenses attached to them (like paying for a dinner or t-shirt). So every Challenge dollar works 100% for you Chamber.

We're happy to say we're moving along, but at a much slower pace than last year. It's certainly understandable due to the economy but that doesn't lessen the need for you to participate in the event and in the Chamber Challenge.

The newest people to meet the challenge of the Challenge are listed below and they include Karl Huggins, CA Diving news & The Scuba Show, and Dr. Susan Grant, all at the $500 level.

It also means that we'll pair up Karl & CDN to co-sponsor one of our birthday candles of the Chamber's 35th birthday cake and we'll look for a partner for Susan. You can sponsor a full candle for $1000 or - for $500 - cosponsor with another Silver-level donor. But we've got to get all 35 candles lit and we'd like to be further along than we are.

But we're still plugging along and waiting to hear from you. So . . . Who's next? Who will help push past $6000 (and maybe light another candle in the process)?
