I got all the required gear and training to dive at my level, I don't know on what you base your affirmation.

I base it on the fact that you bragged about presenting a bogus cave cert at Dos Ojos. I don't care if you are intro cave certified or not the requirement of proof of training is there to protect divers from dying, not to line the pockets of cave guides as you assert.

I think you place too much importance on the supposed pious intentions of the people at Dos Ojos.

When you reach the entrance the guard there asks if you are a diver or a snorkeler, he then proceeds to collect your money.

It's when you get to the parking lot that the other guard asks for a "full cave" cert. What happens if you left it at the hotel, you turn back to get a refund? Fat chance.

I did not brag of having used a bogus card, I did what I had to do to get in and do my 10th dive of the week (at my intro cert level). I would have used my Mickey Mouse club card if possible. (BTW I'm racking up experience and practice to go for full cave in a year.)

I wanted to raise the point that there is the beginning of an attempt at controling the cave diving environment in the peninsula, the future will tell.

I understand that the situation is very different in Florida and I have absolutely no problem with the rules and regulations that are in place, for example at Ginnie Spring.

Dos Ojos has demanded a cave card to dive for many many years. If you didn't have it on your person, you should have gone elsewhere rather than paid at the gate.

You are placing vastly too much importance on the "full" part when its clear you were talking to someone with minimal commmand of the english language who probably doesn't even swim nevermind realize there were lower levels of cave certification like your own. The attendant was there to ensure that open water divers didn't blithly dive there. Mission accomplished for him despite your dubious, deceitful tactics.

Rather than potificating about "controlling cave diving on the peninsula" to "line the pockets of guides" you should focus on your own training, experience, maturity, and judgement - all of which appear to be lacking in your behavior here and at Dos Ojos.
