I got visit Cerulean Springs today. What a nice place. Of course it doesn't have the accomadations that Gilboa or Portage has but it is a super place to dive. The water was very comfy. I got 72 on the surface and I only had an isolated pocket of water that dropped below 68 degrees. It was like bath water compared to the 52 degree I saw at falling rock just a couple of weeks ago. My only regret is that I didn't get to do more than one dive. We had some issues with new gear and decided that it was better is we quite while we are ahead. I do look forward to returning later this summer.

Soudnd slike a place for me to try my old 3 mil shorty....I haven't had that out in about 2 years....since I went to La Paz....

Glad to hear everything went well.

There were several people there in shorties. I did also see some amazing things there. I saw a lady with a neon pink tank and those neon pink hoses that you were looking for. Sorry I didn't get a chance ask here where she got them or if they come in DIR spec 5' and 7' legnths.

I am sure I stuck out like a sore thumb in the crowd that was there. My fiance and I were the only one that didn;t have atleast one piece of gear in neon something or other. I am sure I looked strange suiting up in my 7mm suit with my beanie on, my DO Matrix BC with its big wing. Compared to the classes that were going on I looking like I was one tank away from doing a dive on the Doria. I did feel a bit over dresses but then again I was nice and toasty. Surprisingly Ginger was fairly comfortable in her new henderson 5mm Hyperstretch 1 piece and my 0.5mm skin. Its amazing what a proper fit will do for your warmth.

No doubt about that...my bro is usually cold in his wetsuit, and it's because it doesn't fit correctly. What we usually do is let him lead the dive, and when he gets cold he tells us, then that's the end.

There are times he is not allowed to lead though...and that is when we are doing any navigational work....he can't seem to figure out his compass very well, but he is learning, and doind a little better....with more dives and experience, he is going to get it down.

I had better dive with your brother. If we started in Gilboa we would probably end up in Portage or Whitestar by the end of the dive.

now you're just being ridiculus...Try sticking a large magnet on the top of your compass....that should really help you guys out

What and where is portage... never heard of it... i'm guessing fresh water quarry...lol just a guess! Other then a few lakes quarrys are all that's around. If anyone can give a full list of sites in and around Ky that would be great.

dive cerulean up date for you all....

really dont even need much of a suit since the water is at 83 on the surface and 79 at 37ft and still rising with 25 ft of vis.
