I am using Scubaboard app on iPhone and my iPhone keeps popping up with Security certificate not recognised. I will grabbed some screen shots I am posting.

Hi @gstrek your certificate issue is different to what I have. Mine are intermittent 'warnings' probably associated with pop-up adds.

Once again... The certificates are issued to a third party Google Advertising "partner" - with me not being in Australia, it's impossible for me to see what ads you're seeing, and which one of them might be causing the problem with your certificate warning. It's probably even using flash which might lock up your computer.

If you click on the little "Ad Choices" icon, you can usually block that particular partner, and this should help you. The icon (shown below) appears on all Google Ads (any ads not placed directly with scubaboard.com - the ones lower down on the page)

As I previously stated, if you went to mega-tags.com, you'd see exactly what I was talking about, as far as them being an ad network. The same as optimatic.com.

Also... Symantec is merely the issuer of the certificate. Anyone can buy an SSL for their website, but they must be validated to receive a class 3 CA (certificate of authority) - Class 3 is for servers and software signing, for which independent verification and checking of identity and authority is done by the issuing certificate authority.

You can force this to happen by using https: ScubaBoard - The World's Largest Scuba Diving Community instead of http: ScubaBoard - The World's Largest Scuba Diving Community. It appears to be a self-signed certificate that expired on 10/28/16 (although it would still be untrusted as it is self-signed). You can replicate the 'error' on different browsers (Chrome and Safari) from different OS platforms.

You can't actually do this, because there is no certificate installed under ScubaBoard - The World's Largest Scuba Diving Community I mean, you can certainly browse the site using the https protocol, but this wouldn't really work well, and Chrome would send frequent warnings.

There is no scubaboard app. What you are showing is our internal Network IP address, and not our internet IP address. If you're trying to use the https: protocol, you will get an error, as there is no SSL certificate for ScubaBoard.com.

I've been getting the attempted virus that says i have four vuruses and need to clean immediately with their program. This only happens when I'm on Scubaboard and I feel it must be related to one of the advertisements. I don't click on them intentionally but sometimes it happens. Then I x out if the Scubaboard site and delete my cached data, then restart my phone. It's a huge pain in the patootey but I'll be getting a new phone soon, so hadn't brought this up to you Howard.
