howdy ya'll,
i was trying to find a suitable lake to dive in within a couple of hours of monterey, ca. i wasn't having any luck. it seems like folks out here only care about diving in the ocean. when it's stormy, i'd like some more options. does anyone have any good ideas or good spots?? be safe.

I dive Millerton Lake, 30 minutes east of Fresno, during the spring and summer months. The visibility is usually marginal (less than 10 feet), but I have seen it up to 20 - 30 feet. Other than bass, perch, suckers, trout, and boulders; not much to see anyway. I dive it for navigation practice, and its proximity makes it an easy "just to get" dive trip.
