Cenote tour with a solo operator... how do I know he's safe?

DAN dive accident coverage is valid in Mexico.
beside dan...for the general joe that goes diving like once a year...still no local insurance from Tour operator.
 
IMO, the once-a-year divers are more likely to have an issue than the frequent divers. Small price for peace of mind? (FWIW, I wouldn't trust any operator's liability insurance, even in the US.)

i totally agree with you so let's put it that away this concept of insurance is not part of a business plan in mexico either people like it or not.
 
I also hope the once a year diver does an open water dive (or a few) to tune up before they jump into a cenote.
