Solenoids are tolerant of a huge range of IP. Unless you have plans for 200m dives you dont really need to worry about the overbalancing "feature"

correct, the solenoids don't really care with the range that we use other than power consumption when they fire. If you rely on the solenoid then your battery will drain more each time it fires, but that's about it.

But I would worry about blowing on OPV at 100m.
Or just use the SP MK2s. or the Apeks US4 that comes on them

I don't get the fascination with "sealed" regs.

That's because you take care of your gear...

You should show the inlet side of that :D
Not that one, but related...

Unfortunately, I could go on, and on, and on.
Sigh.
It's why I'm a sealed reg fanatic. I'd rather just rinse and run, myself. Sealing helps me do that.
But it's the guys that come for service with a set that was "rode hard and put away wet" 8 months ago, that really get my goat.

Most of my sealed regs flood - eventually. Then they are a terrible mess.

I just blow the pistons dry inside and good as new right?

If your question is serious and you're not just messing with a sealed reg guy, I'd probably reflood with fresh water first, and then blow dry. :)

And maybe switch out the sintered metal filter. Those things hate wet salt.
