I think the Bahamas has over 700 islands so I sure some are junk when it comes to diving and some are divine!

Caymans vs Bahamas
Has anyone dove both of these and which is better or are they about the same.
I am not concerned with accomodations only the underwater aspects.

Thankyou

They are very different. It really depends on what your looking for. Cayman Islands are alot more money, but well worth if. Reefs and wrecks, walls and macro are the delight. Short dive boat trips, the opportunity for some eagle rays, big grouper, nurse sharks, beautiful reefs and lots and lots of little stuff to keep you busy. Night dive has some of the most beautiful basket stars and a night wreck is awesome. a passer by hammer head and lots of Octopi plenty of fish.
Accommodations are pricy and I would suggest Dive Tech and Cobalt Coast jump off the dock diving or if your looking for a bit of comfort and love the beach, try one of the condos, its a home away from home and they are generally less expensive.

Bahamas- I would only go with Grand Bahama. Bigger animals thats for sure and if your looking for sharks or dolphins, thats it! Its a much cheaper destination, a great place to just go get wet. I think air is the lowest to that destination this summer.
Bahama air or us air are about $99-150 each way depending on when you travel.
