I need some good recommendations for the Caymans, resort, hotel, dive
operations? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Darol

Which one?

Grand Cayman, Little Cayman or Cayman Brac

On GC, I don't have a favored resort as we stayed in condos.

Good dive operators that take 8-10 or less divers are Neptune's Divers, WalltoWall, Off the Wall and Ambassador Divers. Neptune's and Ambassador frequently get good reviews here.

Red Sail is a much larger operation as is Don Fosters who currently has the cruise ship contract. Red Sail also uses AL-72's to limit BT.

Probably find everything you need in the Cayman Islands Forum here on SB.

Most places in Cayman have been discussed to death around here so it's hard for anyone to say anything new to such a broad question. Maybe give a little more info on what you're looking for?

Sorry, that is a very broad question, and I don't have the time, or desire to
sift through all thats been written on the boards.
I average between fifty to one hundered dives a year, sport wise, A O W certified.
Trying to avoid "Cattle Boats".
I know it's "Island Time", but an operation that has decent boats that might leave
close to the time they advertise, and guides that are somewhat professional.
I have never been there period.
I know you all have things to do, and I really do appreciate any, and all input.
Thanks Darol

umm, ok. well, then I don't have time to rewrite everything I've every written about Cayman or lookup old posts for you. (I'm probably going to get dumped on for saying a variation of "do a search." But since you even admit you'd rather waste other people time than your own...sheesh)

You don't like cattleboats (who does?), sjspeck gave you a list of some of the largest and smallest. I suppose you could say everyone has decent boats, however you define that I don't know. It's way far from a 3rd world country so they tend not to have crappy boats. (I don't personally like most of Sunset House's boats, I found them slow, uncomfortable, and not well set up for diving even.) Cayman tends not to be so island time as many places so I doubt you will find that a big problem in general, nor professionalism.

I'm sorry if it came across that way, but I'm not looking to waste anyones time.
I'm very new to the board, and usually don't do them, can you guess why?
Thanks everyone for the input, and let's just forget it. Best to everyone.

I regretted being a bit rude and was going to kill my post, then I saw this. Well seriously, you get as much out of any board as you put into it. A line like "I don't have the time, or desire to
sift through all thats been written on the boards" is hardly going to encourage people to help. Will you have time or desire to answer other peoples questions or write reviews of where you've been to help others? ok, rant off.

I know there are a ton of threads on Cayman, but you can probably find several general threads on the first couple pages in the Caymans forum that have a bunch of posts and obvious titles indicating they contain what you are looking for, if you bother to look. It should not take you that long. The system even does some of this for you, if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you'll see there is a section of "similar threads" that may be a good starting point. And if you are looking for information on Cayman and diving you would be cutting off your nose to spite your face if you refuse to look there. Your choice.

You might notice I did address the specific things you mentioned? And you might get more repsonses if you gave some idea if you are interested in the Ritz or Motel 6, condo or big resort or smaller inn, diving a lot or a little, busy area close to everything or remote, which island, etc. Without that people are just cutting and pasting their old hotel and dive op reviews at random and making it even harder for new users, like yourself, to wade though it all.

Again, so very sorry to bother you, and best to everyone.

I see no reason for you to back down. You, as usual, knock yourself out trying to be helpful. In return, he gives you attitude.
