There's a saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Pj is puddle jumper.
How far in advance did you book the flights? We book many trips 9 or 10 months in advance. In general there is always a change in the flights.

Sometimes the change is small like a 15 minute change in departure. Sometimes it is bigger - on our recent Bonaire trip we were bumped from a United flight to an Air Canada plane and then finally back to the original United flight. We have an upcoming trip that originally routed us via Istanbul (yuck!) but we are now routed via Munich (yah!)

Since changes like this are to be expected we always book the complete flight as a single ticket.

Well that was certainly nice of them. How long ago was that? Did that involve the CB people working for cayman Airways?
....
Sorry you had issues.

As I mentioned, the leg I dealt with was MIA to GCM, and I was booked on a non-stop leg, not via CYB. Typically that flight is only handled by KX's 737s. The time I was re-booked was early in 2016, my January flight IIRC.

I have no idea how many other passengers were similarly impacted that date. I was scheduled for a long layover in MIA. When I got to the KX check in counter it was several hours before my scheduled flight. I was the only passenger there. The two ladies working the counter already had me rebooked onto AA.

Air travel can be an adventure, complete with unanticipated delays. Of course it is easier to adapt when there are more alternatives, so getting cancelled coming out of MIA is going to be easier to deal with than coming out of CYB.
