roakey:
I use the term "team" a little more strictly than most people when I speak of "teams" of divers. I never consider more than three people a "team" -- two or three people make up a team, four should be organized as two teams of two each.

gotcha... i was just using the terms the incident report used

Browsing through the IUCRR website it was interesting to read the articles on manifold usage and why they don't like isolation manifolds. It would appear that they are advocating using a cheater-bar. It would seem to me that most accidents caused by the improper usage of the isolator--something that could completely be avoided by ALWAYS doing proper gear checks and never assuming anything ("Why would I check that? It's ALWAYS open!").
Then again what do I know? I am but a lowly single-tank rec diver.

Some numbers:

573 reported cave deaths since someone started keeping track.

Zero cave deaths this year so far - let's hope it stays that way!
