Last year we embarked on a filming project, which quite honestly started as a 20 minute souvenir.

We, a small team of cave divers from very different backgrounds (French, Swedish, Chilean and South African) are putting together a series of cave diving videos. The project is evolving, and we are in our second year. We only shoot a few weeks every year as it is something on the side that we are all doing. Different locations, unexplored caves, weird restrictions and tunnels - anything out of the ordinary is what we´re trying to get on film. Everything about this project is unique - the filming, editing and music.

Below is a link to one of the segments from the videos. I scrapped pdbimages.com and we´re only using our diving website which is karstdiving.com

We are really interested in what people (divers who appreciate the art of cave diving) think about the footage (and of course the whole idea of the project). So please watch the video, rate comment and GIVE SUGGESTIONS - we love it!

Another thing - any suggestions of weird, strange, unusual locations for cave diving to take a lot of light and cameras will really be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Wow! I'm not a cave diver but this reeled me in! Very good shots, good editing and I love the soundtrack. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing more from you guys!

Some BEAUTIFUL perspectives and lighting -- I've been there, and you guys have done a lovely job of capturing the dive. Wish it were higher than 720p, so it wouldn't pixellate at full screen.

The other end of the Sacbe tunnel, coming in through Naharon, would make a cool video, too, because the transition from the black tunnel to the white limestone is dramatic, and the passage winds in a very visually interesting way.

Chan Hol would be another great place, highlighting the fire pits, the pottery, and the bones.

So much fun stuff in Mexico!

Fantastic, Pietro,
Love your work.
I was at Jailhouse with Steph the following Tuesday after we
met you at Dos Ojos donde hiciste un video de mi y mi hija.

Very cool! It was nice to see the start of the video at Bil's place, good memories. It was nice to meet you while I was there doing my intro class with Bil, can't wait to get back in September!

Thanks Michael! It was a pleasure diving with you both!

Thank you for the comments, we really appreciate the feedback.

We did Chan Hol (one of our favourites!) we got some great footage and have a video on youtube, but they cut the audio because of one song... here´s the link anyway: YouTube - Chan Hol

You are right about the resolution. It makes such a difference when seen in good quality. I´ll try and upload higher res videos. Thanks!

We did a section of Naharon, from Cenote Crystal (other side of the highway). Very cool dark cave! I like the idea of getting the transition in, from dark to the white limestone. That´ll look amazing!

...still only low res.... will get to work :)

Thanks again for the feedback!!

For some reason, the second one won't play for me -- anybody else get it to work?

Both of the videos worked for me.

Thanks for sharing the videos! Great job karst_divers!

Nice job. I love the concept, the videography, the music, the editing, and the halocline at 4:00. Lots of other really great footage, too.

Thanks for sharing.
