Hi again,
Thank you for the positive feedback!! Yesterday we did a magnificent dive (and video) in Pet Cemetary. It is part of the Nohoch system and is on the Ejido land accessible from the Dos Ojos entrance. Its about a kilometer past The Pit. The land owners have done a very nice job setting up the cenote entrances with good stairs, platforms and gear-up areas. They actually use it a lot for snorkel tours - not that we thought they did all that effort just for the cave diving community... But the restrooms are great, the area is kept clean and there is parking area and room to move around easily.
The dive is magnificent as many will agree. It is super decorated, white limestone walls dripping with formations and up-down-sideways tunnels like Calimba. These caves are easier filmed as the light bounces much better. The steep ladder down to the platform is tricky with doubles, and a few trips are needed to take down all the lights and cameras. They light up the cave for the snorkel tours which is very impressive. Yesterday we had to take some back-ups down to find our way around the platform until our eyes adjusted to the darkness. It was a truly magnificent dive!
The video is not part of our big project, but this cave will definitely be dived again. We´re editing today and tomorrow - in between large cavern tour groups - so we´ll have a two minute highlight of the dive up on YouTube by Friday.
In the meantime, here are some more links to the videos we have on YouTube. We´re working on re-editing and re-rendering in higher resolution for YouTube upload, but eventually we will do a separate website with downloadable video clips and pictures of the dives we´re doing.....
