No it's not! Just gear up and get in the spring water. It's twice the temperature it was last night in the caves! :D I'll be in the caves the next 3 days!

Not always so easy. When I did my Intro class, almost 2 yrs ago in Feb. Our equipment would freeze in the back of the trucks overnight, & then we would have to thaw it out first. Regulators & inflators kept sticking. But then again, that spring water did feel like bath water, once you got in.

I have not been cave diving since yesterday :(

Next trip is first weekend in December I hope, I go once a month on the weekend for half a dozen dives or so.

...

Ditto that. It's so hard going so long without. I really need another cave dive bad. My hands are starting to shake.

Hey Shirley :mooner:...

Well my red eye blitz run planned for the end of November, first of December got vetoed!
It seems my employer has moved me to ten hours five days a week with maybe a few saturdays till after Christmas.
It was a bummer till I worked out a plan for Dec., Jan., Feb. guess they were in a good mood.
I am convinced that you have to give and take when negotiations are taking place!
More work will mean better funds but convincing my wife to let me go three months in a row might be tough.

I was pumped on doing Full cave this spring but I am enjoying diving and learning a whole bunch in the process.
You can read training manuals and books but there is no substitute for actual cave diving. I learned volumes from applying training and gaining familiarity with different systems.
Personally I think more dives between Intro and Full might be a good idea.

Moving closer is a definite possibility and it probably will happen just not sure when.
My wife is agreement on the move just the timing and finding employment is a pretty huge obstacle these days.
It is painfully obvious that my local diving will take on a different twist and I am really looking forward to the 35º-40º water temps. No gloves to Dry Gloves! Yeah!

Safe diving all.
CamG Keep diving....Keep training....Keep learning!

After the length of time it took me to finish up & the dives & experience I gained in between,... I can agaree with that 110%. There are some people that can go all the way through at once & do fine, but for the majority, the extra experience can be the right way to go.

I had my First trip to the pond 3 weeks ago to get cavern certified. There is something about those caves. I'm planning my trip to get basic in the spring

Eight days until we leave . . .

We've been back for a little more than a week now and I still can't bring myself to get back in the cold, dark water we have here... So at the moment, I just keep staring at my desktop... can I log that?

For all those going soon, have a great time!

Lee
