Thanks for the input Socaldiver. It looks like JPzero has given up on the thread he started...

I'm assuming that spots like Ship Rock and Church Rock would still be okay, as long as the boat can leave the harbour.

As far as this week end goes, looks like it's going be a dry one... at home :(

However, I doubt seriously if any boats would be going out this weekend. 20 ft swells can be sort of nasty, don't you think? :D

I have heard rumors that a GW has been lurking around Ship Rock and the Rock Quarry. Sounds like it could be an interesting dive. Sure wish I could be there to prove if it was fact or fiction

Anyway, enjoy. Seriously, if you get the chance to go over to Avalon for Christmas holiday do it. You practically have the run of the city (except for the locals), and they are real friendly. The only drawback is that the air fills are all the way down on the pier and if you are diving on Christmas you need to make sure you have enough tanks. No fills on that day if my memory serves me correctly.

One of these days, I'll figure out the quote thing...

I was at Ship Rock last weekend, and pleased to report no GW sighting.

Looking at the swell model, I wonder if the Express is running?

Actually, when I go there, I dive with Scuba Luv on the King Neptune. The one thing I don't like about diving (besides not diving...) is getting up at 4 in the morning. So I take the shuttle boat on Friday night, spend a good and full night of sleep at Avalon and meet up at the shop on Saturday morning at 8.

They have Nitrox, I don't have to carry my gear and the boat is pretty good. 3 tanks on Saturday. 3 tanks on Sunday. The one thing I want to do is squeeze in a night dive out of Casino Point. It's supposed to be fantastic. I am planning to do this again the first week end of December.

Probably not running. The swell report looks pretty bad until tomorrow night...
