Just got back - near the Isthmus - heavy current - 15' vis, 59deg. Ride over and back was rough. Tomorrow might be worse - storm?

Wasn't so bad at the dive park today... in fact I was pleasantly surprised and did two dives there. Some current, but nothing really significant. Viz began about 40' and declined somewhat through the afternoon. Temp 59-60 at 50 ft.
Dave, we were together on the Sundiver (I had the long hair and Harley cap on) I think. Considering the forecast, I was surprised it was as good as it was. I also think we left at the right time, no? Sure looked like it was coming down good by 2:30-3:00.Teamcasa:
Hey Mike, I am glad we left early. The seas were only getting worse. My lovely bride did not care for her first dive at Catalina. I was disappointed for a couple of reasons. My flash (eBay special) flooded and the visibility was marginal. I was happy to meet you and your buddy. In addition, Frisbee was a fun guy and he help my lovely bride out a great deal.
I think our next trip to Catalina will be on the Express and a visit to the dive park.

Other than the flash flooding, rough ride to and fro, leaving early, marginal vis, cold, and my wife not too happy, we had a great time.

We had a great time & good vis. Don't know when I'll be doing Vet's again after that long ride down last time, 2hrs.
