So, the time has finally come. I'm flying out to LA on Wednesday to meet up with my wife who is already on her way out there right now and then we'll be getting on a boat for Catalina. I hope to see some of you out there, especially Dr. Bill.

Nope, first time diving on the west coast. I'm looking forward to the kelp. Water temps, not so much.

AAH, it's not that cold.Maybe low to mid 50's. Make sure to bring your 7mm and a hood, or a drysuit.Good diving !

Our computers were hitting a solid 50F for the 3 days we were there last week.. Brrrr... Viz not so great either~ it was better on the SuJack side of the park.

Heh, we've only got 3mm suits so we're planning on renting suits on Catalina. I know it'll be a bit expensive but we really don't have a reason to purchase 7mm suits.

Water temps over the weekend at other Catalina dive sites were 52 to 57 F depending on site and depth. Good news... there was a giant sea bass sighting in the dive park today so there is a chance they're starting to come back a little early.

I'll be working on my (gulp) income taxes and have a few guests in this week (including my son), but let's try to get together. My home phone is 310-510-8436.
