That's right, our fearful leader (none other than Pete "NetDoc" Murray) will be invading Catalina Island tomorrow with a number of other ScubaBoarders including the triumphant reappearance of Elena who ditched us SoCal kelp forest divers for the warmer waters of Florida! We will all be diving at Casino Point tomorrow.

I have informed the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. of this invasion. They said they would not try to arrest "NetDoc" until he actually violated the law (say, by not wearing a snorkel). I have also communicated with our local cadres of great white sharks, requesting them to make their first appearance in the dive park in many years. In dreadful anticipation of this event, all bars on Catalina will be closed until the 3:45 PM boat departs and grocery stores will not be allowed to sell liquor during that time.

All this in anticipation of THE Scuba Show held this weekend in the Long Beach Convention Center. A good time will be had by all... or else!

Dive park conditions today were reported at 40-50 ft vis (with particulates) and the surface has calmed down after two days of buffeting winds.
