I found a pretty cool little critter on a dive to Catalina Island (off coast of So. Cal) this weekend I was hoping someone could help me ID. It was a bright yellow, 2" long snail with a flat - round (about the shape of a sand dollar, slightly coned) opalescent/clear shell (approx 1" dia.). I spotted it at about 35 fsw in a rock pile. Any help you could offer would be great.

Did you get any pictures of it?

Maybe it was a Cone Snail, the most venemous creature in the sea...then again, maybe it wasn't
