I have tried the online reservation website, but it keeps giving me errors. How do you find out the prices of rooms and availability for this dates in June-July?
We are thinking the Seaport Inn, but their website keeps locking up on me.

Use the telephone. Ask for a diver discount. Enjoy your stay.

Hey Robin.
I believe the website will show prices for different types of room for any date your input. Then I would call as suggested above and ask for divers rate.
I started a thread a while back called catalina hotels and the tip I got was to contact a Raoul who runs the place.
Bear in mind that weekend rates are much, much higher than M-Th rates by at least 50%.
On a side note, I take the early express over on Saturdays at 6:15, in the water by 8 ish and out for my first dive before most people are even there. Most students stay close in, so I go dive a different area of the park.
You can't go wrong with the boat diving.

thanks, the price difference is what I was remembering, but since that website isn't working, I really don't know what the ballpark numbers are for any room.

If we were to come out for a 4-day weekend during late July, how many of you Calif KelpDivers would join us for some boat or shore diving????

okay... after looking at the Seaport website, I am seeing that the rooms include roundtrip trans to Island? So that is the ferry, right? Wow. I didn't realize that was included. That is awesome.

Working out dates right now... will be booking something soon. Hope to dive with some of you while there.

IDK about from ABQ but we've flown into Long Beach (LGB) on USAirways and caught the Express downtown there. It's a $20 cab ride to the port vs. $50 from LAX. Airfare was only a few dollars more and it was much more convenient - Long Beach is a small airport.

Robin, the website shows price with and without the using the catalina express.
Sometimes it is better if you book separate. If you get the senior rate (age 55) on the express it is $64 versus $70.50 regular adult.
Also there are coupons out there giving up to $7.50 off regular adult fare.
