I was confused about the boats, too, but I didn't get a chance to reply yesterday. Glad Jan pointed it out!
I just called and spoke to Richard at Catalina Baggage (I think he's the new owner there - very nice man). He said that since we'll be coming in in 2 separate groups, they will have enough trucks available for you guys to not have to bother waiting around for our boat. You can just go over and let him know when you get there, and he'll have a truck ready for you. We'll do the same and it's not a problem to do separate trucks.
If you guys want to call him as your boat is approaching the harbor to give him a bit of advanced notice, the # is 310-510-0766.

Hi Guys:

I am flying in Friday night at 9PM to be able to dive with your group Saturday AM.

Decided at the last minute and am having trouble getting a 7mm . Hope I can rent one at Catalina. I have reservations on the 8:00AM from QM. If anyone knows of a place in Long Beach that is open for rental very early please let me know.

Then I will be going on the Great Escape on Sunday to Santa Barbara Island.

Hey Merlindiver,
Wow, that's great! We'll be glad to have you join us - hopefully conditions will keep up and you'll get to see CA kelp diving in all of its glory.
Thre are 2 dive shops on Catalina that I know of that should be able to help you, if you can't find a suit before you get there - ScubaLove (I think that's the name) and Catalina Diver's Supply. I'm at home and therefore on my dial up connection, so it's too slow for me to look them up for you, but they both have websites so you can do a yahoo/google/engine of your choice search and find a number to contact them and arrange for a suit.
I'm not sure when my gear is going to get packed up between now and Sat. morning (this has been one busy week) so I might end up having to leave the camera at home, but I am so looking forward to heading out to Casino Point! And, having a Saturday off work too - that's 2 full weekends in a row!!!
I can't wait!!!!

The whole family (4 divers) will be there for the Gold Star Dive. We usually hang out just to the right of the steps. Can't miss the youngest daughter, she has bright yellow stripes down the arms of her wetsuit. See you all out there!
