My wife and I are looking at a dive / snorkeling trip in the fall of 2010 (She is a snorkeler, I dive). We will not spend all of our time in the water, but would like some place that has a great value and wonderful experience (same as everybody, right).

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

do you have a budget in mind?
you realize that Fall is cheap in Caribbean because it is hurricane season, right?

good snorkeling and diving -
Bonaire - is tops and far enough south that it is out of hurricane belt for the most part.
Roatan - possible to snorkel and dive the same dive sites, and resorts like CoCoView have incredible snorkeling right in front of your room. Fall can be rainy, especially Oct-Dec.

Grand Cayman has Sting Ray City that can be dived and snorkeled at the same time and plenty of other places to snorkel too with hundreds of dive sites. Great restaurants on that island but not the cheapest place. I love it personally though.
