If only my Spanish was as good as your English! :)

The coral spawn is generaly anticipated 6 to 10 days after the August full moon.

Fill out your personal profile a bit more! I have always enjoyed the character of diving the currents and wrecks of Los Roques... maybe you're there or on Margaritta?

Welcome to ScubaBoard!

excellent English, Valentina!

I understand the spawning generally takes place in late June, July, and early August, but it does vary with local conditions, so your best bet is to check with the locals.

Valentina,

I'm not sure if different areas of the Caribbean have different coral spawning schedules but you can browse to this link

http://www.habitatcuracao.com/coralspawn.htm

for a schedule of coral spawning in Curacao.

Basically the spawning takes place between 3 - 9 days (based up on the type of coral) after the September and October full moons.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for to answer me, about the Coral Spawning I'll go to the beach the next friday October first (maybe has any probability to apreciate this spectaluar scene) :) I'll tell you the next week.... My birthday is the next saturday and i think that GOD give it as a present...
I'm in Caracas, i had been not on Los Roques, never (beautiful place) i hope visit it some day.... Margarita has wonderful beaches and landscapes, but Los Roques, the Mochima, La Tortuga are better for dive in.
nice to meet you and thank you for the safe arrival.
Where are you live? try to speak in spanish, is easy languages :) if you want i can teach it.
