Sweet... Would love a little video tour of the boat, especially a peak into the cabins, if you remember :)

This is from the Dancer site, and gives an overall tour prior to the boat being fully completed: Dancer Fleet TV 2012

MX727-I've never been on either an Aggressor boat or a Dancer boat, so can you tell me what you mean? What are the differences? Thanks!

Back when the Dancer and Aggressor fleets were under different ownership, there used to be some general differences you could pretty much count on. When I first started doing liveaboards back in the early 90s, the Aggressors were more bare-boned, but the operation packed as much diving as possible into the week. The Dancer operation typically provided more creature comforts (sit down dinners, plush bathrobes, warm towels after the night dives, coffee brought to your cabin in the morning, wine with dinner, etc.). Aggressor's motto was, "Eat, Sleep, Dive" and they gained a reputation as being the operation for 'serious' divers. As Aggressor stepped up over the years on the service end of things, primarily to meet the competition, the differences blurred. For example, it became more routine for Aggressors to be outfitted with private TV/DVDs in cabins, individual climate controls, etc. Once both operations came under the same ownership, the differences became much harder to generalize.

As far as the boats themselves, you really need to check on the particular location as I've found that there are certain locales where Dancer has the leg up, and vice versa. The experience can really depend on the particular boat (and even the last time it was in dry dock) and the crew on it.

See my review from our trip in July http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ba...dancer-fleets-new-carib-dancer-lots-pics.html. Save your money and go with a different company.

Wow. Was that a premonition or what? The Carib Dancer was one of the few boats I've gone on where I haven't gotten first hand recommendations. Just goes to show that what I said is true - and what is now known to be doubly true is that Aggressor/Dancer senior management will not stand behind their services and products offered.
