I just booked myself on the June 2-9 trip too :) Cant wait!!!!

Was thinking about bringing a guitar... any one think this is a horrible idea? I'm thinking there would be plenty of down time...

DaBoy, if I were on your trip I would love to be entertained with live music. But if this liveaboard is like the others I've been on, the only way you'll have much down time is if you make it yourself. If you do every dive they offer, all you'll have time to do is eat, sleep and dive! You can choose to skip dives to have some down time, but you may be playing to an empty boat.....:D

Well, I guess It will come down to how much luggage I'll have. I hate the thought of parting with my guitar for a whole week...

It depends on if you can play it. :-) And downtime is something you surprisingly don't have on liveaboards unless you skip dives. Between preparing for the dives, writing the log for the last dive, prepping the camera, eating, and resting a bit, it goes by...

On a lot of the LOB's we have been on it seems like at least one of the crew members has a guitar. Maybe they will share! Have fun!

After noting your message again, if you could bring your guitar, you'll be one of the few divers in the history of diving with available room in their luggage.

Well I got back from the Carib Dancer yesterday. It was a really cool week of diving. Some nice shark action with the usual reef and nurse sharks but I actually had a small silky swimming around me during an extended safety stop under the boat. :) Saw some huge eagle rays and possibly a manta....it was well below me on a wall and it had that diamond shape and there were no white spots that stood out at all. Who knows??? Also saw the biggest loggerhead turtle I have ever seen. The rest was pretty typical things to see for the region. I will say that myself and DaBoy, along with another guy, had a very interesting night dive LOL. Anyway, I'm working on getting all the video I took edited and will post a link soon. It really was an awesome trip.

I almost forgot about our blue hole dive. This dive was seriously one of the best dives I have done. We got to see a rare event with schooling Blacknose sharks inside the hole. When we swan over the edge there were over 50 sharks swimming around in there! They were only 4-5 ft but very impressive to see. It was like multiple layers of circling sharks all around and under you as far down as you could see. It was our last dive and an awesome dive to end a great trip.

Amazing trip! Cant wait till the next one! Crew was great. Got some great pics of a few Few Caribbean Reef Sharks and the standard fare of bahamas diving. Loved the Blue Hole dive as well. The sheer number of sharks schooling and swimming all around us was was very cool.

J Easy saved me a trip to Cuba on that night Dive... It was a Big learning experience.

Definitely should have brought the guitar. Next time, there is no doubt it will be coming with me.

I'm a fan of quiet. But then again, I plan on being in the water most of the time. Hope you don't plan on playing music late at night.
