I guess this re-enforces what I have been saying about the pay.

I work for one of the lowest paid departments in the area. It has only been that way for a couple of years. But I only work 4-10’s and make more than that with decent benefits and I’m home every day. Not to mention all my gear and vehicles are issued at no cost to me. Then there is the retirement plan. I will make more per hour on retirement, without the OT, than that base pay.

Not at all what it used to be.
