Career opportunities in scuba diving.

As a class project I need to interview a knowledgeable source about career opportunities related to scuba diving. The interview can be conducted in person (I live in the Chicago land area), over the phone or via AOL instant messenger. The interview would take last a minimum of twenty minutes. There are several people on here who are scuba instructors that might be able to help with your project. I'm not very familiar with operating a dive business but my dad used to own a dive shop and said it was a very seasonal business that required purchasing a lot of equipment in the winter months when there wasn't much sales/cash flow so that they would have plenty of inventory for the summer months.

Additionally, Keith Phillips, senior editor of Scuba Diving Magazine, is semi-regularly on the boards and may provide you with knowledge about a diving career in the printed media industry. Also, John Chatterton, a living legend in the diving community, is on here from time to time. Scuba Board has an ongoing thread titled Shadow Divers: John Chatterton's Interview with Scuba Board where you can ask him questions and he does his best to answer them.

Outside of that you just need to peruse the boards and PM members who have a career in the scuba diving industry. Good luck with your report.
