The issue with that model is calibrating it as suggested every 6 to 12 months requires special equipment so most would rather pay them to do it, except with that costing $75 plus shipping to them vs $89 for a new one, I'd order a new one and put the old one in my electronic recycling box I take to Best Buy.They say sensor life is 2-3 years. Would you guys say that's usually how long they last?
How do you know when? I used to bump test by breathing on my Sensorcon, but now that I quit smoking, that doesn't seem to work. We need to find a source for cheap bump gas disposable cans.
Unused but still exposed is like Used, so I'd say replace it, but you can contact the company and get their opinion.I'm also curious about CO sensor life and calibration. I picked up a secondhand unused Palm CO that has a sensor past expiration - a bit over 2 years. Should I just replace it, or can I calibrate and test the unused, but expired, sensor?
