I just saw on Facebook that Captain Kyaa is no longer with the Sundiver Charter. She didn't say whether or not she was fired or quitted, but just that she's no longer there.

Half of the fun on the Sundiver was BSing with Kyaa, I hope that the charter can find suitable replacement and also that Kyaa can find another boat or maybe even other venues.

I never really clicked with her but I do hope she finds a spot soon.

There is a thread in the trips and local marketplace forum about it.

I had to look at the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st. Wow.

I hope they get a good replacement or move someone up the ladder. I always liked when Derrick was captain untill he left for the Riviera. Kyaa and I never really got along so for me its an improvement. The Sundiver Express is the fastest dive boat to the island which is what I always liked. So ill be back again.

Kyaa and I disagreed strongly on politics, but not on most dive related issues... you know, the real important stuff.

I for one am sad if she is no longer there. I've had noting but good experiences with her and sundiver. From day one she and I clicked and she's taken me and my dive group to some of the best and most advanced dive sites around Catalina and other sites.I've dove with her on a few occasions also, all fun times. she's also been a great friend to the LAUE/GUE dive community. I for one will miss her and hope she captains another dive boat. I'll be there to dive.
