Captain Don's is having a special -- kids dive free June - Sept.

Can anyone tell me about this place? Is it a good resort for kids? What about non-divers in a group? Will they have stuff to do there?

Any info would be great!

Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by "good resort for kids". If your looking for swings, slides and a playground there aren't any and I doubt most of the people there would like kids running and making a lot of noise. If you mean a good place for young divers to dive, then it would be a very good place. The reef just off the resort is shallow with lots of life. Entries and exits are easy. Besides diving and snorkling the only real things to do AT any Bonaire resort I am aware of is to eat, read and sleep. On the island there is hiking, sail boarding, horse riding, mangrove kayaking, cave snorkling and land sailing for non divers.

We have 2 young divers and 2 kids too young to dive yet, plus a grandmother who's fairly active, but not herself a diver. Don't need swings and slides, but do need something for the kids to do with grandma.

Capn Don's has a great pool and a small beach down by the villas (called by its size - six bodies). We have stayed there many times and the diving and resort suit us well. As Herman says access to the water is easy via the docks, -they have 2 one for boats and one for diving and snorkelling etc. Most kids I see there spend time playing in or around the pool or the ocean.
